changes to their playing eleven – Sachin Tendulkar, Ajay Jadeja, Robin Singh,
Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh made way for Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rahul Dravid,
Jatin Paranjpe, Sunil Joshi and Javagal Srinath.
Pakistan (Moham)made four changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – Hussain, Rashid Latif, Saqlain Mushtaq and Manzoor Akhtar made way for Saleem Malik, Abdul Razzaq, Moin Khan and Mohammad Zahid.
