India made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Shami made way for Lokesh Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah.
Pakistan
(Moham)made a change to the eleven that last played the Indians – Nawaz made
way for Faheem Ashraf.
On winning the
toss, Babar Azam, Pakistan’s skipper, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of India’s innings – which was the
mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the 10th over. They
scored 61, without the loss of a wicket.
Twenty-three balls (3.5 overs) into the (Shar)match,
Pakistan sought a bowling review. They challenged the decision for a wicket.
Rohit, India’s skipper, was the batsman. It was struck down by New Zealand
