India (Tendulk)are beaten (Pakist)another time

While India made no change to their playing eleven, Pakistan made one to theirs – Azhar Mahmood made way for Inzamam-ul-Haq. Sachin Tendulkar, India’s skipper, won the toss, inserting the Pakistanis.

Saeed Anwar, whose 26-ball innings included four boundaries and a six, scored 35. Venkatesh Prasad broke the 42-run stand. Saleem Elahi, who faced (Srina)three balls, scored just a run. He was trapped leg before wicket by Javagal, who broke the one-run stand.

Aamer Sohail, whose 54-ball innings included a boundary and a six, scored 23. He was caught by Srinath. Sunil Joshi broke the 41-run stand. The fourth-wicket pair wasn’t in seventh heaven. Saleem Malik faced a ball, scoring a run. Aashish Kapoor and Nayan Mongia ran him out.

Mushtaq, whose nine-ball (Saqla)innings included a boundary, scored 10. He was unbeaten, as was Waqar Younis, who didn’t open his account. He faced a ball. He was unbeaten. India conceded 15 extras. Pakistan scored 258 for the loss of eight wickets off 50 overs. Jadeja, who bowled a wicketless overs, conceded eight. Kapoor, who bowled eight wicketless overs, conceded 34.
