The Indians (Vengsark)are Pa(k)i(sta)ned again

While India’s playing eleven was unchanged, Pakistan made just one change to the eleven that last played the Indians – Imran Khan made way for Tauseef Ahmed. On winning the toss, Dilip Vengsarkar, India’s skipper, (Colon)elected to field.

Rameez Raja, who faced a couple of balls, scored as many. He was caught by Maninder Singh. Sanjeev Sharma broke the three-run stand. The second-wicket pair put on 38. Mudassar Nazar, who faced 31 balls, scored 11. He was run out.

The third-wicket pair put on 126. Javed Miandad, Pakistan’s skipper, scored 52. His 75-ball innings included four boundaries. He was run out. Abdul Qadir, who faced three balls, scored just a run. He was caught by Kapil Dev. Singh broke the four-run partnership.

Saleem Malik, the player of the match, scored 101. His 124-ball innings included five boundaries and a six. He was caught by Kiran More. Singh broke the eight-run stand. Wasim Akram, who faced four balls, scored just a couple. Singh broke the one-run stand.
