While
Pakistan made one change to their side (Tahir Naqqash was replaced by Sikander
Bakht), India made two – Madan Lal and the most notable absentee of them all,
Sunil Gavaskar, made way for Arun Lal and Dilip Doshi.
The teams
were Kap(il)tained by the subcontinent’s best all-rounders – Dev and Imran
Khan. On winning the toss, the latter chose to bat. The openers put on 41.
Mohsin Khan, who faced 118 balls, scored 117. His innings include nine

Mudassar

Arun Lal,

caught by Mudassar, who broke the 28-run stand. Dev faced 21 balls, scoring 35.

Syed
Kirmani, who faced 26 balls, scored 16. His innings included a boundary. He was
unbeaten, as was Shastri, who faced 16 balls, scoring three.
Pakistan
